I’m a business guy in Seattle who also happens to be a lawyer. I’ve been working inside corporations since the mid-90’s. If you want to know more about that, check my LinkedIn profile.

I throw myself into my work, but I also love to ride my bike. I’ve become a bit nutty about gearless riding; I commute daily via fixed-gear or single-speed bike.

I’m also a husband and father to twin teenagers. Between those challenges and adventures, and my work heading up business development, operations and law at Avvo, it’s something new every day.

Did I mention how much I like to ride my bike?

Jonathan, thanks. The chainguard actually came standard on my Salsa Cassaroll (which is a terrific bike, btw). I bet Salsa could set you up with one a la carte.

Thanks, Ken – and you’ve gotta admit that riding through sheets of rain is its own perverse kind of fun, right?

Great site! Had been riding my singlespeed surly crosscheck for a few years when I lived in Portland. Seattle has been a fun challenge. Rode the single on Chilly Hilly (Bainbridge) last weekend. almost prefer it to my geared bike now. and it’s easier to clean. :)

Thanks! My friend rode in the Chilly Hilly for the first time this year and said he was passed uphill by someone on a SS. Hope it was you!
